1. Bookings and placement

·       Lessons, packages and chukkas must be booked through our website

·       A rider's level is determined by the school. The school may move a rider between groups at any time for safety, horse welfare or coaching reasons.

·       A booking is only confirmed once booked and paid online in advance

2. Payment terms

·       Bookings are only taking via the website and pre-paid packages must be purchased online

·       Private lessons, assessments, clinics, camps and chukkas may carry separate pricing and stricter cancellation terms.

·       If for any reason additional payment is due, late payment may result in the suspension of bookings until the account is up to date.

·       Lesson fees do not include Inanda Club membership fees.

3. Cancellation and no-show policy

·       Standard lesson cancellations with at least 24 hours' notice may be rescheduled once within the same billing cycle, subject to availability.

·       Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice are charged in full.

4. Weather and force majeure

·       Lessons will continue regardless of rainy or cold weather or lightening. In the case where there is rain and

lightning or the weather does not permit safe riding, we will have a ‘rainy-day’ lesson. During these

lessons riders are taught other crucial parts of horse welfare and care. All riders are given theory and

practical lessons on horsemanship, tack, grooming, feeding and the general management of horses.

More advanced groups cover topics such as the horse’s muscular, skeletal and respiratory systems,

equine psychology and biomechanics. Weather dependant, ‘wooden horse’ lessons are also

included.

·       The school may delay, shorten, move indoors, convert to theory or stable-management instruction

·       Where the school moves to theory or grooming, the lesson charge will still apply in full

5. Rider conduct

·       Riders must follow coach instructions immediately and respectfully.

·       Running, shouting, rough play, feeding horses without permission, entering paddocks, using sticks carelessly, or approaching horses from behind is prohibited.

·       Abusive language, unsafe behaviour, bullying or disregard for horse welfare may result in immediate removal from the session.

6. Dress code and equipment

·       Approved riding helmets are compulsory when mounted. For hygienic reasons, riders are must have their own helmet

·       Riders must wear suitable long pants or jodhpurs and closed footwear with a defined heel. Long pants are a must and we suggest stretch leggings or soft tracksuit pants to start. Jeans can also be worn, though the inner seam can rub and be uncomfortable. No sleeveless tops or vests please. Not only do you

run the risk of getting sunburnt but can sustain nasty cuts and scrapes should you fall off.

·       Boots with a heel must be worn

·       It is a rider’s responsibility to bring an appropriate helmet and footwear; the school may refuse participation where clothing or equipment is unsafe.

7. Horse welfare and substitutions

·       The school may substitute horses, instructors, venues or lesson formats at short notice.

·       No rider is guaranteed a particular horse or pony.

·       The coach's decision on horse suitability, workload and welfare is final.

8. Illness, injury and fitness to ride

·       Riders must disclose illness, injury, medication changes or any condition that may affect safe participation.

·       The school may refuse participation if a rider appears unfit, impaired, contagious or unsafe.

9. Property and valuables

·       Personal property is brought to the venue at the owner's risk.

·       The school is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to tack, helmets, clothing, phones or other valuables unless caused by proven gross negligence.

10. House Rules

·       Riders are encouraged to arrive 5 – 10 minutes before the scheduled lesson time to check

their pony and prepare for the lesson. Lessons will start promptly at the allocated time.

·       We encourage all riders to learn more about horses than just riding. ‘Horsemanship’ is taught at every op opportunity and riders are expected to treat all horses and grooms with kindness and respect.

·       Please do not feed any of the horses without permission to do so; some of the horses are on very special diets.

·       Please do not run behind or around the horses, though our horses are safe and very well-mannered, they may get a fright and cause an accident.

·       Ablution facilities are situated in the Mudd Hut / Glass House

11. Spectators and collection of children

·       Parents, guardians and spectators must remain only in designated viewing areas (Glass House, benches b the pony lines, or seating at the arena) unless invited into the lesson area by staff.

·       Children must be collected promptly after lessons. The school should be notified in advance if someone else will collect the child.

12. Photography, privacy and communications

·       The school may use contact details to send timetables, booking confirmations, invoices, weather alerts and school updates.

·       Images will only be used in line with the signed consent choice on the relevant rider form.

13. General legal note

·       Participation in any school activity is subject to the signed indemnity, medical and registration documents being completed first.

·       If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
